BLISS in CORE: A Personal Journey to Rediscovering Balance and Passion in Tech

In my own life, navigating through the complexities of the tech world, I've encountered burnout not as a temporary setback but as a pivotal moment for profound self-discovery.

This experience led me to develop a unique approach to overcoming burnout, which I call BLISS in CORE.

It's a fusion of two powerful frameworks, BLISS (Breakthrough, Lighten, Inspire, Strengthen, Sustain) and CORE (Clarity, Organization, Resilience, Engagement), aimed at guiding burnt-out IT professionals back to a place of balance, passion, and joy.

This journey isn't just about professional revival; it's about personal rebirth.


The Genesis of BLISS in CORE

My path wasn't always clear. Born into a family where love was abundant but resources were scarce, I learned early on the value of hard work and the joy of academic achievement.

Yet, despite my successes, I often found myself lost, especially during my tenure in the tech industry.

The long hours, the constant pressure to innovate, and the feeling of never doing enough led me to a state of burnout.

It was then that I realized the need for a transformative change, not just for myself but for others experiencing the same disillusionment.


Executing BLISS with CORE

1. Breakthrough with Clarity (Presence): The first step to overcoming burnout begins with a breakthrough, achieved through clarity.

For me, this meant pausing and taking stock of my life.

By embracing mindfulness, I learned to acknowledge my burnout, understanding its roots in a lack of alignment between my work and my inner values.

2. Lighten with Organization (Mind Organization): Lightening my load required organizing my priorities.

I decluttered my life of unnecessary commitments, focusing instead on what truly mattered.

This step wasn't just about reducing workload; it was about aligning my daily actions with my long-term goals, mission, and vision. (You must create your vision and mission if you don't have any).

3. Inspire with Resilience (Bio-Engineering): Rediscovering my passion for tech and life came from building resilience.

By incorporating healthy habits and routines, I strengthened my physical and mental health, reigniting the spark that burnout had dimmed.

Inspiration flowed from my newfound energy and vitality.

4. Strengthen with Engagement (Connectedness): The strength to endure and thrive came from engagement.

Reconnecting with myself, my community, and with the universe, nurturing meaningful relationships, and finding alignment in my work rekindled my love for technology and teaching.

This connection to others and my purpose fortified my resolve.

5. Sustain with an Ideal CORE: Sustaining the bliss achieved through this journey meant nurturing my ideal core—maintaining clarity, organization, resilience, and engagement.

Continuous self-care, embracing a growth mindset, and fostering connections have become the cornerstones of my life.



Beyond a Framework: A Way of Life

BLISS in CORE isn't just a methodology; it's a way of life.

It represents a holistic approach to not only surviving in the tech industry but thriving in it.

By integrating the principles of BLISS with the foundational elements of CORE, I've found a sustainable path to balance, fulfillment, and joy.

This journey has taught me that overcoming burnout and finding happiness in our work and lives is not only possible but essential.

As I share this framework with others, I hope to ignite a movement towards a more balanced, passionate, and fulfilling life in tech.
