A professional artist for over thirty years, I create oil paintings of National Parks and western landscapes in a contemporary modernist style. Inspired by travel and plein air studies, my magical landscapes express passion through brilliant hues and dramatic contrasts. My vibrant paintings are built up in layers of oil paint on a sienna-toned linen or canvas. Once varnished my paintings take on a translucent depth akin to stained glass.
