BLIND LEADERSHIP

How can one LEAD others if they can’t SEE themselves? Being able to SEE is one thing & having a CLEAR VISION is completely different! A true BLIND person can be an AMAZING leader because a CLEAR VISION doesn’t come from their eye sight. It originates from within them, coming from their brain ??, compiled with feelings from the heart  . SEEING is BELIEVING right? We forget too easily that SEEING takes place with our ears, nose, fingers & toes too! 

Leadership in today’s world is fast paced. One must be very adaptable and extremely accepting of change. Leaders must have very strong morals, values and principles instilled in them. It is extremely powerful when a person is PRINCIPLE driven! PRINCIPLE DRIVEN LEADERS are able to handle issues with poise and sheer confidence. Their focus is not derailed by short term interests or personal needs. 

Having a CLEAR VISION is MUST! Being able to describe, plan out and play out your CLEAR VISION with your TEAM is another thing! A leader can’t set expectations on the TEAM if the TEAM does't know the VISION and the role THEY PLAY in MAKING IT BECOME A REALITY! In ACHIEVING it! Better yet, the more the LEADER helps EVERY TEAMMATE understand THEIR IMPORTANCE in achieving the ULTIMATE VISION, the HIGHER the LEVEL of performance from the ENTIRE TEAM! When a PERSON'S ACTIONS are ACKNOWLEDGED & APPRECIATED, it creates a chemical reaction in the brain ?? and fills one of the 8 ESSENTIAL HUMAN NEEDS. By this simple act of ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, this teammate will now have a HIGHER LEVEL OF PRODUCTIVITY. It’s really quite simple. Don’t you feel better when you get a pat on the back, and a “good job, well done!”

Coming back to BLIND LEADERSHIP.......might we all be better LEADERS ......BLIND? It would force us to rely on our OTHER SENSES. First and foremost, GOD. There would be no judgement from a visual perspective, which sadly, but honestly, might change a few things depending on the circumstances. Would it breed more EMPATHETIC & COMPASSIONATE LEADERS as opposed to PRIDE FILLED & MONEY HUNGRY LEADERS? Could there be more HUMBLENESS? Want to find out? BLINDFOLD one of your LEADERS and then have them instruct something or complete a task. Another exercise, have the TEAMMATES instruct the BLINDFOLDED LEADER on how to do something. Let the LEADER TRUST in the TEAM, it will be INSPIRING for ALL! 

PSALM 119 has 176 verses that HOLD THE TRUTH & THE WISDOM of GOD. If you instill these PRINCIPLES your LEADERSHIP will be:

• be blessed (vv. 1, 2)
• remain pure and ethical (vv. 9–11)
• be strengthened and revitalized (vv. 28, 149, 154–159)
• insightfully answer criticism (v. 42)
• enjoy liberty (v. 45)
• gain wise counsel when needed (v. 66)
• remain steady even when afflicted (vv. 67–72, 92)
• display more insight than our teachers (vv. 99, 100)
• be enlightened and intuitive (vv. 105, 130)
• have a reliable guide even for new issues (vv. 129, 160)
• enjoy inward peace and poise (v. 165)
• get divine help (vv. 173–175)

BE BLINDED BY THE LIGHT......

 SO LIGHT CAN BE YOUR SIGHT.......
