This is not a work post, but one where I count my personal blessings. I hope to make this a series in the coming month.
In the current lock down, I’ve been super lucky to be with my sister. She’s 13 years older, but we share similar interest in art and craft. We love doing projects together. In fact every time I visit her, we do a small arty/ crafty activity together.
The extended lock down meant we could take on ‘projects’ that we usually didnt have enough time to do together in the past. We rummaged through her supplies and found enough cloth/ art supplies!! GASP!! It was the most amazing discovery.
And so in the midst of the escalating pandemic, we set up our peaceful corner (on the dining table actually!). We thought of designs, motifs, textures, colors, paints and did a couple of dry runs and off we went.
In a month, we painted a total of 4 dupattas, 1 saree, 2 stoles, 3 yokes.. Here are some samples:
