MEMORY VERSE:

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Psalm 32:1

BIBLE READING:Luke 23:39-43.

39? And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If Thou be Christ, save Thyself and us.

40? But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

41? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

42? And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy Kingdom.

43? And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with Me in Paradise.

MESSAGE:

A. ??We may not be able to comprehend what true Blessedness is until we experience Divine Forgiveness. 1? Nothing can be compared with the joy of salvation.?

2? We see this with Zacchaeus when Jesus called him.

3? In Luke 19:2-8 we read?

“Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.?

4? And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.?

5? So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.?

6? And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.?

7? But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”

8? Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

It was that joy that caused him to make restitution for his past evil deeds.?

9? When a man is genuinely saved, he will not only joyfully live a godly life, he will also feel compelled to right his past wrongdoings.?

10? It is the lack of genuine salvation that makes an individual to still keep, for example, a strange man or woman in his or her life, even after conversion.

B. ??One of the most amazing salvation stories is in our Today’s Bible Reading.?

1? With just a few hours before he would have gone to hell, one of the robbers on the cross besides Jesus experience a great turnaround and entered into paradise.?

2? From this, we can see that the salvation prayer does not have to be lengthy; it only has to be simple, straight to the point and sincere.?

3? All you need to do is repent of your sins and promise God not to return to them.?

4? Pleading The Blood of Jesus over your life for cleansing is also paramount in this regard.?

5? We see the publican pray in Luke 18:10-14 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.?

5? The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.?

6? I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’?

7? I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

C??God’s Blessing (Divine Help) come in multiple forms but The Blessing of Divine Forgiveness should be the first one we should all seek.?

1? In Today’s Bible Reading, both robbers made separate requests.?

2? One asked for deliverance, the other salvation.?

3? Jesus Christ prioritized the request for salvation.?

4? Here we see The True Blessedness.

5? Beloved, True Blessedness lies in the forgiveness we receive for our sins; it is upon this foundation that all other Blessings are built.?

6? This is why if you are yet to repent, I implore you to do so without further delay.?

7??Confess your known and unknown sins to Jesus- The Saviour of Mankind.?

8? He will forgive you as He did Zacchaeus and the robber on the cross, so that God’s Blessings will flow into your life, In The Mighty Name of Jesus Amen ??!.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, Please pardon all my known and unknown iniquities and give me power to “Go and sin no more”, In The Mighty Name of Jesus Amen ??!.
