BLESSING

Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

I have previously said I don’t like it when people casually throw out the word 'bless'. Such a holy word, I think, should be used in reference to God's blessings alone. When Winnie and I pray for our children, we say they are ‘blessed’ because God says they are. We are repeating God's Holy Word so it's holy.

Deuteronomy 28: 4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

A cute story. A little boy said to his mommy after hearing this verse ‘Is our puppy cattle?’ Mommy thought about it for a minute and said 'yes'. 'Well' the little boy said, ‘our puppy’s sick, can we pray for him?’ She said 'yes'. And the little boy said boldly, ‘Lord, you said you’ll bless our cattle if we are obedient, and mommy said our puppy is cattle, so bless our puppy’. Puppy got healed. The boy was only repeating God’s promise. The same when we pray for our kids. We can repeat what God says, because we obey God, so we declare our kids blessed, with confidence. We are repeating God's words, not ours. Our words carry power because they are God's words, and God's promises.

God desires us to be blessed, in all ways. He loves us and He wants to bless us. It’s up to us to obey Him, to choose Him, and by default, His blessings. God gives the blessings. God ONLY desires us to obey Him and to choose Him, in order to bless us and give us an abundant life, here on earth and in heaven.

God goes on to say that He will bless our kitchens, we’ll always have something to eat! (Deut 28:5) He’ll bless our travels (28:6) He’ll defeat our enemies (28:7) He’ll bless our finances (28:8) He’ll bless our walk with Him, He’ll bring us to a new level of holiness (28:9) We’ll be respected (28:9) He’ll give us goods (goods not bads). In other words, stuff. Stuff is good IF it isn’t taking the place of God. (28:12) God will prosper us, and make us successful. We’ll become lenders not beggars nor borowers. (28:13) We'll become leaders and impact the lives of others,,,,, This is what we get IF we obey Him and don’t turn from Him.

How do we obey Him? By keeping the 10 commandments? No way Jose, absolutely impossible! By being good? NO! No one is good!

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous , no, not one:

How then do we obey God? There is only one answer. By accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour!

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

When you get saved, God's blessings go with you. Will your life go perfectly? Nope! We'll all have problems, grow old and die someday. People we love will get sick. Things like COVID and other stuff will mess up our plans, and jobs, no matter how much we obey and serve the Lord. What about people in poor or war torn countries, like what if a Somalian gets saved, or a Syrian? Why are babies of Jesus loving parents born dead or deformed? Why do good Godly people live in poverty? I don't know, but I do know it isn't the will of God. He is just and kind. I have found that when I don't understand something the Bible says, the problem is with me, NOT with God. I do know that God created us to be be blessed, the destroyer to destroy whatever he can, IF God doesn't hold him back.  

Isaiah 54:16 "See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc;

God is just, in Him there is no darkness. He does judge with righteous judgement. I think the destroyer is who does all the bad stuff though, not God. God protects us, and the world from the destroyer. When He doesn't hold the destroyer back, whatever is unprotected by God is destroyed. When the Bible says God smites people, or sends plagues, earthquakes, sickness, death, etc. He actually doesn't, He just doesn't restrain 'the destroyer'.

People love to point out that God in the Bible says He will smite people who don't obey Him. He created earthquakes in Moses' time, killing whole families. Sent plagues to King David for counting his troops *750,000 deaths out of 1 Million, in three days, now THAT's a plague* But it's not God that kills. He just doesn't hold back the destroyer. Bare with me, read what God says.

Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

When the Israelites were preparing for the original exodus from Egypt, God told Moses to have all the Israelite slaves smear the doorposts of their homes with sacrificed lamb's blood. God was preparing to 'smite' the firstborn of Pharoah, and all of Egypt, except for those with the lamb's blood smeared on the doorposts. Those who did that, "obeyed God", had their firstborns spared. But look how the Bible words it.

Exodus 12:23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

It isn't God that smites, it's the destroyer. If you don't believe that, it's ok. Just obey God and accept Jesus as your Saviour and you don't have to worry about it. God is absolutely good. He blesses those who love Him and serve Him with peace, salvation, health, and prosperity. He isn't really worried about us understanding Him.

If someone loves Him and serves Him with all their heart, and bad stuff happens, I don't have an explanation for that. I only know for myself, that when I read His Word, and believe Him and follow Him, I am blessed and I have an abundant, full, joyfull life. When I don't, things go very wrong, VERY FAST! Then I repent *stop doing what I was doing, pray, change direction of what I am doing, and go back to the Lord and confess my sin* and things straighten out again, EVEN FASTER. 

Like I said, if something confuses me in the Bible, the problem lies with me and my understanding, Not with God and His Word. IN HIM THERE IS NO DARKNESS.

Bendicion

Deuteronomio 28: 2 Y todas estas bendiciones vendrán sobre ti y te alcanzarán, porque obedeces la voz del Se?or tu Dios:

Anteriormente dije que no me gusta cuando los cristianos lanzan la palabra 'bendecir' casualmente. Es una palabra tan santa, creo que debería usarse solo en referencia a las bendiciones de Dios. Cuando Winnie y yo oramos por nuestros hijos, decimos que son "bendecidos" porque Dios dijo que son parte de las muchas bendiciones que Dios tiene para aquellos que lo obedecen. Dios dijo que bendecirá a nuestros hijos. Es una palabra santa porque estamos repitiendo lo que dijo Dios mismo.

Deuteronomio 28: 4 “Bienaventurado el fruto de tu cuerpo, el producto de tu tierra y el aumento de tus reba?os, el aumento de tu ganado y la descendencia de tus reba?os.

Una linda historia. Un ni?o peque?o le pregunto a su mamá después de escuchar esto "?Es nuestro cachorro considerado ganado?" Mamá lo pensó por un minuto y dijo que sí. "Bueno!" el ni?o dijo, "nuestro cachorro está enfermo, ?podemos orar por él?" Ella dijo que si y el ni?o oro audazmente: "Se?or, dijiste que bendecirías el ganado de los que obedecen, y mamá dijo que nuestro cachorro es ganado, así que bendícelo". El cachorro se curó. El ni?o estaba repitiendo la promesa de Dios. Lo mismo con nuestros hijos. Repetimos lo que Dios dice, lo obedecemos y declaramos bendecidos a nuestros hijos. Sus palabras, no las nuestras.

Dios desea que sus hijos *nosotros* somos bendecidos, en todos los sentidos. él nos ama y quiere bendecirnos. Depende de que nosotros hagamos nuestro parte, que es obedecerle, elegirlo y sus bendiciónes. Es para que Dios pueda bendecir a los creyentes.

Dios continúa diciendo que bendecirá nuestras cocinas, ?siempre tendremos algo para comer! (Deuteronomio 28: 5) él bendecirá nuestros viajes (28: 6) él derrotará a nuestros enemigos (28: 7) él bendecirá nuestros finanzas (28:8) él bendecirá nuestra caminar con él, nos llevará a un nuevo nivel de santidad (28: 9) Seramos respetados (28: 9). él nos dará cosas (productos buenos (bienes) no malos). Las cosas son buenas SI no está tomando el lugar de Dios en nuestras vidas. (28:12) Dios nos prosperará y nos hará exitosos. Nos convertiramos en prestamistas, no en pediquenos. (28:13) nos convertiran en líderes e impactaramos a la vidas de otros, si lo obedecemos y no te apartamos de él.

?Cómo le obedecemos? ?Cómo no nos alejamos de él? ?Al guardar los 10 mandamientos? Impossible!!?Siendo bueno? ?Nadie es bueno, nadie! Romanos 3:10 Como está escrito: No hay justo, ni aun uno.

?Entonces como? ?Al aceptar al Se?or Jesucristo como su Salvador personal!

Romanos 10: 9 Que si confiesas con tu boca al Se?or Jesús, y crees en tu corazón que Dios lo levantó de entre los muertos, serás salvo.

Cuando te llegas a ser salvo,, las bendiciones de Dios van contigo. ?Tu vida irá perfectamente despues? No! Nos todavia tendiramos problemas, envejicemos y moriremos algún día. La gente que amamos se enfermará. Cosas como COVID y otras cosas arruinarán nuestros planes y trabajos, sin importar cuánto obedezcamos y sirvamos al Se?or.

?Qué pasa si un somalí se salva o un sirio? ?Por qué los bebés de los padres amorosos de Jesús nacen muertos o deformados? ?Por qué las personas buenas de Dios viven en la pobreza? No lo sé, pero sí sé que no es la voluntad de Dios. él es justo y bueno, siempre. He descubierto que cuando no entiendo algo que dice la Biblia, el problema es conmigo, NO con Dios. Sí sé que Dios creó el destructor para destruir.

Isaías 54:16 "Mira, fui yo quien creó al herrero que avivó las brasas y forjó un arma adecuada para su trabajo. Y fui yo quien creó el destructor para destruir;

Dios es justo, en él no hay oscuridad. El juzga con santa justicia. Creo que el destructor es quien destruye, no Dios. Cuando la Biblia dice que Dios hiere a la gente, o envía plagas, etc. Creo que usa "el destructor" para cumplir Su juicio justo.

La gente se?ala que la Biblia dice que Dios herirá a las personas que no lo obedecen. Pero no creo que lo haga.

éxodo 12:12 Porque pasaré por la tierra de Egipto esta noche, y heriré a todos los primogénitos en la tierra de Egipto, tanto hombres como bestias; y contra todos los dioses de Egipto ejecutaré juicio: yo soy el Se?or.

Suena como Dios dice que va a matar gente, verdad? Pero no lo es. Cuando los israelitas se preparaban para el éxodo original de Egipto, Dios le dijo a Moisés que hiciera que todos los esclavos *Israelitos* pintara a todos los postes de las puertas de sus casas con la sangre de un cordero sacrificado. Dios se estaba preparando para 'herir' al primogénito de Faraón y a todo Egipto, excepto aquellos con la sangre del cordero pintada en la puerta. Los que hicieron eso, "obedecieron a Dios" tuvieron a su primogénito a salvo. Pero mira cómo lo dice la Biblia.

éxodo 12:23 Porque el Se?or pasará para herir a los egipcios; y cuando vea la sangre en el dintel, y en los dos postes laterales, el Se?or pasará por la puerta y no dejará que el destructor entre a tus casas para golpearte.

No es Dios quien lo hiere. Fue el destructor. Si no lo crees, está bien. Simplemente obedezca a Dios y acepte a Jesús como su Salvador y no tendrá que preocuparse por eso. Dios es absolutamente bueno él bendice a quienes lo aman y lo sirven con paz, salvación, salud y prosperidad. Si alguien lo ama y lo sirve con todo su corazón, y suceden cosas malas, no tengo una explicación para eso.

Solo sé por mí mismo, cuando leo Su Palabra, y le creo y lo sigo, soy bendecido y tengo una vida abundante, plena y alegre. Cuando no lo hago, las cosas se ponen malisima, ?RáPIDO! Luego me arrepiento * dejo de hacer la cosas malas, cambio la dirección de lo que estoy haciendo, y regreso al Se?or * y las cosas se arreglan nuevamente, AUN MáS RáPIDO. Como dije si algo me confunde en la Biblia, el problema esta conmigo y en mi comprensión, no con Dios y su Palabra. EN éL NO HAY OSCURIDAD.

Números 6:24 El Se?or te bendiga y te guarde: 25 El Se?or haga brillar su rostro sobre ti, y sea misericordioso contigo: 26 El Se?or alce su rostro sobre ti y te dé paz.
