Bringer - U.S.A.

This is the breakout area designed by Flipspaces for Bringer. Breakout areas are often some of the most sought-after spots in an office as they allow employees to snap out of their work mode for a few minutes. These are the areas where interesting water cooler conversations happen and employees relax after working long hours.?

Ideally, a breakout area needs to make employees feel comfortable and allow them to unwind. This was the approach followed by Flipspaces while designing one for Bringer. The designers deliberately refrained from forcing the use of loud colors and stuffing the area with multiple articles. The approach was kept minimal with the use of monochrome throughout the section.?

Owing to the limited strength of the company, the design limited the number of chairs, making the most economic use of the space. The breaking room is made more aesthetic by adding a tall potted plant in the corner and a stunted green plant on the table.?

The look and feel of the breakout area are kept simple and subtle to make the employees feel at ease. The area is deliberately designed in a way that helps employees relax and spend some time unwinding after working hard. The appearance of the breakout area is kept in sharp contrast to the working area to make the difference between the two more prominent.?

As a result, the breakout area helped the employees feel at ease and spend some leisurely time between work hours. As intended, this affected the overall productivity and engagement within the organization positively.

Litera - Ahmedabad

This is the reception area of Litera (a US-based software development company) designed by Flipspaces. Essentially, the reception is the first point of contact between an outsider and an organization. We may not judge a book by its cover but the interior of an office is often judged by the way its reception looks.

Here, a lot of the reception area is kept open to give the space a grand look. Going by the tagline of the client that says “Reputation Matters”, the reception is designed in a way that casts a great first impression on the visitors. With an elegant desk in the middle and a quirky design with incomplete shapes, the design approach is kept minimal here as well. Instead of stuffing the space with a lot of articles, the few articles used here are designed meticulously.?

Right from the coffee table to the couches, furniture with round edges has been installed to give the reception a consistent look. Bright colors like red and blue are used to show the vibrancy of the place. Whether it is employees or clients, the reception is designed in a way that cheers them up with vibrant colors.?

The minimal yet elegant approach to the design allowed Litera to create just the right ambience for anyone walking into the front door.

Open Financial - Bangalore

Flipspaces achieved another feat in designing breakout areas with OpenMoney. The financial management company was able to provide the perfect space to relax and unwind with the breakout area designed by Flipspaces.?

The company preferred going the unconventional and quirky way for getting the breakout area designed. Instead of resorting to traditional-looking chairs and tables, Flipspaces gave an almost amoebic look to the chairs and stools that complement the tables just right. The use of round edges and curves throughout the section has given a consistent look and appeal to the area.?

Here, Flipspaces has resorted to making the breakout area look like a quirky café. The decision was taken to refresh the minds of the employees as they enter the section leaving the hectic work behind. The breakout area was made to look peppy to help the employees rejuvenate their energies before going back to work.

As quirky as it looks, a lot of attention was given to the aesthetic appeal of the breakout area. Installing multiple plants inside the area gives an exotic look to the area and makes it come to life. The lively nature of the breakout area also makes it an ideal location to have casual meetings and work on projects beyond work hours.?

BSH - Bangalore

This is a cafeteria and lounge designed by Flipspaces for BSH. Here, the designers have gone for an elegant approach to give an elite look to the cafeteria. The interiors are designed in a way that they can be used for work meetings in the mornings and date nights in the evening.?

The open-air cafeteria is designed in a way that it can be visited for an elegant party as well as relaxation with friends. This contrast is visible with the café having large comfortable pillows and big couches in one section and long-legged chairs in the other.?

Despite this contrast, there is a consistency in the aesthetic appeal of BSH, thanks to the yellow and white hues. The lights have been kept dim for the visitors to enjoy the view of the city from the rooftop while relaxing on big comfortable couches.

Like most projects handled by Flipspaces, the design at BSH is kept minimal. The designers have refrained from stuffing the place with a lot of articles and using colors that are too loud. This allows BSH to cater to its target audience who is older and more mature.?

The aesthetic design of the cafeteria and lounge has allowed several visitors to spend a beautiful evening with their loved ones.?

Lowkey Dispensary (Retail Store) - Boston

This is the retail store of Lowkey Dispensary designed by Flipspaces. The store is designed keeping in mind the laid-back nature of its customers. The design here does not make any noise and merely does the work of complementing the brand in the best way possible.?

One of the biggest challenges faced by Flipspaces while designing the retail store was utilizing a compact area wisely. This allowed the designers to limit the furniture used in the store and use the available space with precision. A lot of wooden furnishings are used throughout the store to give it an exotic yet elegant look. Photo frames with quirky quotes and vintage portraits are kept throughout the store to add to its appeal.?

Using their design acumen and skills, the professionals at Flipspaces have been successful in making a compact store look like it has ample space for customers to roam around and look at the items before making the purchase. They have also designed a sleek billing counter that hardly takes any space but makes its presence felt in the store.

Moreover, the designers have relied on symmetry to give an even and organized look to the store. Right from the alignment of racks to the space between them, everything is made to look as if the store is set up by an individual obsessed with order!

What Makes These Designs Work?

All the commercial interior designs created by Flipspaces are a result of collaborative effort. While discussing a project, the company understands the objectives of the client and the customers it caters to. This leads to the germination of a central idea/theme around which the design would revolve.

The designers would then give their inputs and suggestions to polish the vision of the clients and give a definite form to their vision. Moreover, Flipspaces believes in creating unique experiences for people visiting the interiors. While breakout areas are designed to help employees relax, receptions are designed to give strong first impressions.?

The needs and preferences of every client are unique and Flipspaces caters to the same with designs. The company is able to come up with state-of-the-art designs by steering away from first thoughts and encouraging the designers to think out of the box. This allows Flipspaces to bring something new to the table and create mini-worlds that are unique to the clients building them!
