**BLENDED FAMILIES: Planning that Unites A Family, Not Divides**

Planning for a blended family is not only complex on paper, but more importantly, emotionally complex for the family. Why? Think of scenarios where many families become divided:

Often times, these scenarios, without proper planning, puts some family members in a position where they are simply waiting for someone to die

1) A parent passes away and the other parent remarries. There are now children of the parent, as well as children of the step-parent that all have interests in any inheritance and/or the estate upon death of one or both.

2) The parents divorce and both parents remarry. Too many complexities to list here.

3) A parent passes away, and the other parent later lives with another person, but has not remarried. Their new life partner has interests in the estate they now reside in.

4) The complex scenarios go on and on with so many unique blended family experiences.

Often times, these scenarios, without proper planning, puts some family members in a position where they are simply waiting for someone to die before they can benefit from the legacy & hard work of their parent(s). Who wants to be in that position? No one.

You can actually plan, in writing, how to manage assets and estates, as well as disperse any inheritance and/or funds in a way that keeps everyone in the blended family, talking, working together….UNITED.

What to do? Plan Now… not later.
