The Bleeding Pen!

The Bleeding Pen!

Lost your job, going through a personal crisis, or beginning to feel that nothing is working in your favor? Unlike others, I would say, sit with your thoughts, talk to them, find what's in your control and what's not, and process whatever you have to, because this is when you will know what deserves your attention and what doesn't.

Been there, done that, and that's the very reason I am here letting you know that it's important to brood over it so you can peacefully look for solutions and environments that are conducive to your growth.

More often than not, we tell ourselves that we have to be strong to deal with the shit in life (no matter the intensity, the space, or the frequency). Please stop telling yourself this; you are human after all. People will do you wrong, backstab you, and whatnot. Feel every emotion—be it pain, anger, or disappointment—until you don't feel it any longer. Trust me, you can't sit in that frequency for too long because you start realizing that you need to channel your energy into finding what's best for you.

Here are 5 things that helped me overcome and might help you too:

  1. I didn't give up no matter the situation. Take one step at a time; trust your journey completely no matter the hurdles.
  2. I told myself time and again, I have to feel everything to not feel it at all (someday)—trust me, this phase comes way sooner when you start acknowledging everything around you pretty fast.
  3. Fall as many times as you can—this only directs you to one thing—something good is definitely waiting for you. Fear nothing—what people will say or think about you. The world is out there to give their narratives anyway. You should focus on writing your success story.
  4. Patience is key—this is the most common thing we often hear but find difficult to follow. Be patient as it lets you discover both your good and bad sides—which many of us don't really get to know as our focus is more on surviving the day than spending it right and making it more meaningful.
  5. Pick a hobby—Trust me, this works wonders for someone who has all the time in the world for overthinking. Do what you love and spend as much time as you can without the guilt of not being able to do anything productive. I love singing and would post reels to keep myself happy—no matter how 'sureela' or 'besura' I was. Just do what makes you happy. In short, practice self-love; the world is out there to backlash at you anyway.

People will say what they have to, but please know this: it's you and your journey after all. Only you know what you are feeling or facing. No validation or approval is required from anyone regarding how things are supposed to be handled. Do what's best for you because, believe me, no one cares, and no one should either.

So, let it all out, start journaling, and feel free from within. You have nothing to lose while discovering what and who you really are. If I could handle, you can too!

If any of you have been feeling this lately, feel free to share. Let's make this world a better place and help each other grow.
