Blaxtair Proximity Detection
A short demo of the Blaxtair Proximity detection system. We added an accessory beeper for use in a loud environment. The Long tone is the detection of a pedestrian in the warning zone. In the warning zone, only the detection of a pedestrian will set off the alert. The alternating tone is for an obstacle or pedestrian in the collision zone. The collision zone was set to only be the width of the machine. The warning zone was set to 5 meters wide (sensor at the center) by 6 meters deep (from the sensor). Note the visual alerts on the monitor in the cab. A green border indicates no detection. A red border indicates that a pedestrian or obstacle has been detected. The sensor and processor are rated IP67 and higher.
