Blasphemy amongst the Bible-Believing

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? (1 Corinthians 10:20-22)

What’s become clear over the time we’ve been running OnFireForGod.today, and, indeed, since Katharine and I first embarked upon our new life in Christ, is how ubiquitously the churches — led by trained up pastors — have welcomed, with open arms, the world’s wickedness right into their churches, to pollute the minds, souls and bodies of their respective flocks.

The wicked movement to attract “the unchurched” into rock concert churches, to dummy down doctrine to placate the ungodly. The socialist “missional listening” abomination which seeks to ask the world what they want from a church, etc.

As I told a three-person church leadership team here in the UK a year-and-a-half ago, I could save them much time, energy and bother by telling them exactly what the world wants of their hometown church — a church which ceases, altogether, to exist, one which is not an ever-present reminder that they are in wholesale rejection of God and want nothing to do with His Word, whether in Bible form or as Jesus Christ himself.

I called a meeting with them to let them know Katharine and I would make ourselves available to lead up a true gospel charge in their town, and to raise up a small army of true disciples to make a real mark on that town, to get the gospel into it. But, in the end — despite great words wasted wishing for REVIVAL! — they chose to forgo the gospel and, instead, to ask the world what they wanted in a church.

Indeed, the town had already, long ago, spoken. And it was within a hair breadth’s wish from getting it. They already had a comatosed church, with a few irregular heart/drum beats emanating from the leadership team which doubled as the “worship” band. The keyboardist had yet to commit to Christ. Her unbelieving husband served as the usher, welcoming folk into their (of course, reformed) “Baptist” church.

All signs pointed to the town being very soon to get exactly what it wanted — a dead outer husk of a house of worship that might well find itself boarded up and sold off as a quaint decommissioned church cum fashionable house.

Real men of God don’t welcome in the world, but help to protect their flocks from it, steering them away through the edification of true biblical knowledge of why we true Bible-believing followers of Jesus Christ are called to be as strangers sojourning in a strange land, separated from it, a truly peculiar people:

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. (1 Peter 2:9-12)

Yet pastors throughout the world — including pastors who are members of OnFireForGod.today — are openly embracing the world’s wicked and wholly unholy antichrist “holidays”, and who knows what else finds its way from the world into their churches and ministries.

Many of these pastors have the gall to come soliciting funding in support of their Christmas “holiday” celebrations, their New Year service, etc. The Ishtar “holidays” will be here before you know it, not to mention the idolatrous days of saint worship even before pastor-led churches round the world begin hiding their Ishtar eggs and chocolate bunnies — irrefutable pagan fertility rites — for unsuspecting (because coddled by Bible-illiterate parents) children to hunt. Much as churches around the world welcome the Halloween abomination into their midst, all in an attempt to prove to the world that they’re just like them.

Indeed they are.

But who is being served by such “holiday” services and celebrations?

Surely not the loving and yet jealous God of the Bible who hates such abominations. One wonders whether these trained up pastors have ever bothered to read the Old Testament, and to see themselves in it, as when the priests and false prophets participated in the spiritual whoredoms of their day, leading the Israelites, repeatedly, into blasphemous idolatry, beginning with Aaron himself and for many generations thereafter.

For it is Satan himself — and the rising beast (Antichrist) system — who is truly being served by these abominations masked as “holidays”. For the world is fallen, is fallen. And the churches along with it.

As King Solomon says in Ecclesiastes, there is nothing new under the sun.

Just as in the Old Testament, today’s supposed Bible-believing pastors keep right on leading the likewise blind into such blasphemies. They are today’s pharisaical pied pipers leading their flocks off the cliff, rather than pointing them, always, towards the Good Shepherd of John Chapter 10.

Let it be known, the world over, that OnFireForGod.today is not a “holiday” safe space, in which, with a wink and a nod, such spiritual wickedness is going to be tolerated let alone propagated. OnFireForGod.today, of course, rejects the very antichrist Marxist notion of safe spaces. We who are truly called have been called upon to call a spade a spade, to speak the whole and unfettered gospel truth. Whether in season or out of season, we shall continue to reprove, rebuke and exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Worldly pastors, false prophets and other worldlings, you have been forewarned. Herein. And by God himself.
