Blankenburg Achieves Availability
Operis is pleased to congratulate BAAK Blankenburgverbinding (“BAAK”) and Rijkswaterstaat (“RWS”) on reaching the Availability Date for the highly anticipated A24 Blankenburgverbinding project.
Throughout the construction phase and in preparation for the operational phase, Operis has collaborated closely with BAAK, serving as both model developer and model auditor. ?We are proud to have supported this landmark infrastructure project by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the financial model that underpins it.
This large-scale project involves multiple transportation enhancements to the Rotterdam area, with the 950m Maasdelta Tunnel as a key feature.? The tunnel runs deep beneath the Scheur River, linking the A15 to the A20, and enhancing the links between Rotterdam’s vital ports and major European economic regions, promoting economic growth and regional development. The project has also prioritised sustainability, with sections of the tunnel designed to be covered in greenery, representing the commitment to eco-friendly infrastructure. The tunnel is expected to open to traffic on December 7th, 2024.
Operis are honoured to have contributed to the success of this project and looks forward to the lasting benefits it will bring to the region’s development.
David Rosel , Director, said: “I remember being in Amsterdam in 2018 for the financial close and it's exciting to see that the project is now operational.”
