The Blame Game!

Blame game is never constructive. Nobody wins in it.
Fresher jobseekers complain that they don’t hear back from HR’s on application process while HR’s blame about Un-professional behavior from the candidates in terms of scheduling interviews.
If we keep on blaming each other, there would be no solution.
Instead, HR’s should start giving update on application process to candidates at least to those who apply in prescribed format and having complete candidature furnished with all required details. There are many cases where applicant doesn’t applies in proper format as asked by HR(No Subject line in email, No body of email composed, resume not in desired format etc). in such cases, HR’s may choose not to reply.
Now again HR’s can’t say they receive hundreds of applications and cannot provide update to everyone. NO. even if there are lots of applications, an automated email with just one line i.e. “you are not selected for further process” can be definitely sent to all applicants who have applied. With just one click, (if they want). But sadly we don’t see it happen.
Similarly on Jobseekers part, it’s their utmost duty to respond HR or the corporate recruiting process with Professionalism. Never do things like not picking calls from HR just because you are not able to attend interview due to some reasons. Have the guts to explain such things with transparency and honesty to HR’s.
Change starts from within. It’s high time that both parties (HR and Jobseekers) realize it and try to be better from their respective side. Only then we can have a solution to India’s one of challenging tasks at hand which is “right person for right job”.
