Blame it on common sense or can you repeat it again and again and again...yet again

Common sense is not so common. I have heard it I am sure you have heard it too. Common sense is what honestly “assumptions” …. The thinking that goes like “people should know this much” or another assumption there cannot be a human alive who has no reason to have no knowledge about this particular aspect. If I have done it and so has everyone been exposed to it and if it’s not in my realm of understanding it does not exist let alone common sense. I felt it’s my right to criticize whoever sort of tried to test those common sense grounds. Na?veté at its best.

I was writing a passage I remember and it was full of acronyms. My teacher pointed out to me this may not be understood but I told her isn’t it the subject matter expert??checking this kind of paper. Isn’t it common to see such stuff and make it up ….”I mean the meaning”… there was long silence.

She explained me if at all this paper is with an external auditor what would the person make of it because it is likely to happen. This conversation left a mark and I chose to not make use of acronyms.

There was another instance and someone spoke on common sense. There was a tiff in the college and my own good friend spoke that this matter was more of common sense. I thought she is right. The only thing that I missed out was what is the definition of common sense.?

I started working and my job was to explain people but I used to get exasperated. To repeat the same thing again was touching my exasperation levels.

I thought they are deliberately doing this and that is how I concluded but that was my lens for the world. It took me a long time before I understood there is nothing as common sense. It’s all made up and if at all you have the capability to communicate and the message is received as it is then you are a successful communicator.?

I had a recent incident when someone was telling us about what’s expected but when the questions came flying back. There was an outburst and explicit one somewhat exasperated stance. Asking questions cannot be replaced with its common sense. For me there is nothing as common sense because each one of us has a different understanding of the same world.?

In the name of common sense we shirked a lot of questions but in my journey I realized being curious is the real deal. If you have experienced something then there is nothing to believe. You lived the truth but still questions are welcome instead of stating as it’s common sense. Nothing is common every moment is unique and each moment we all are changing then the expectations also should fall in line.?

While repeating again at times is a problem it irks you but trust me even the GODs and saints kept on repeating themselves the same old thing. They were never tired they were patient when the time comes the meaning and the message both will unravel to the listener. If they had no problems with repeating the same things over and over again in multiple ways then who are we to get irritated…
