Blake Always Wanted to be a Fire Fighter/EMT

Friends and colleagues in the Fire Service and First Responder function,

I have a childhood friend who's son wanted to be a Fire Fighter/EMT while growing up in the Chicago suburbs. However, in his early teenage years, this young man was struck with a rare and ultimately fatal disease called Niemann-Pick Type C. This horrible disease has pretty much left him totally disabled while his friends have been able to go out and achieve their dreams. Blake's mom recently posted on social media that for Blake's upcoming 23rd birthday, she would like to surprise him with fire department related shirts or hats from her friends in different departments and units.
