Blah. Blah. Blah.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

I don't read or listen to everything that comes across my digital screens! But I certainly give every item a quick glance. And when my former client Sara Taylor reached out about her new book launch, I knew she'd be a perfect guest on the AllStar Networking Show, the podcast I host.

Launching a book is an undertaking and for many years I guided authors to connect and talk up their thought leadership to drive sales. It's hard work!!! (Any authors out there, feel free to post about your book. I know firsthand that 80% of business books sell less than 1,000 copies and all my clients sold more.)

Sara and her team are experts in making the conversation about diversity more accessible.

Take a listen here.

And if you're a podcast fan, which so many of you tell me you are, here's a second AllStar Networking Show podcast with my newest work friend, ?? Robbie Samuels, MSW ????? ????? . He's more active in the book launch space and we met through the National Speakers Association

He is a networking guru. His tips on how to quickly engage in a situation are immediately actionable. Seriously, I took notes as lately when I walk in a room I forget how to exit a conversation without saying "This is not holding my attention, I need to leave!" Robbie shares with you ideas for how to gracefully exit and then follow up.

Networking is a skill that you want to keep working on and most people enjoy chatting about books they read and things they are listening to and activities they are doing. Look for a personal connection and you will build powerful relationships.

Please avoid saying blah, blah, blah!

p.s. This email on a Friday afternoon is a shout out to my work friend Kayla E. Picciano to see if she's reading the newsletter at what she says is an awful time to mail!
