BlackBerry? DNA & the Internet of Things
In The Beginning
Since BlackBerry, or RIM as it was known at the time, was founded in 1984 it has been an innovator and a market leader. From designing the world’s first smartphone, with the famous keyboard and blinking red light, to mobile email, mobile instant messaging and push notifications.
BlackBerry? DNA
BlackBerry? DNA has four strands – communications, security, privacy and productivity. BlackBerry was founded on the premise that humans have an inherent need to communicate and connection makes the world better. We believe that, for advances in communications to benefit individuals, organizations, societies and economies, they must be secure, user-friendly and protect individuals data privacy.
Connecting & Securing The IoT
Six years ago we took the BlackBerry? DNA and turned it into a new market leading strategy – connecting and securing the Internet of Things (IoT). We expanded the application of our secure communications technologies so that BlackBerry software is now platform and endpoint agnostic, which means it works on any operating system and any type and size of endpoint. We intend to bring BlackBerry technology to all IoT endpoints.
BlackBerry Zero Trust Architecture
BlackBerry establishes the most comprehensive security controls in any IoT connected environment. Taking a starting position of zero trust, BlackBerry continuously calculates security risk scores for each profile in a connected environment and then builds in layers of trust. BlackBerry’s zero trust security architecture uniquely combines an intelligent security architecture with a user experience that requires little to no support from end users or IT admins. Our goals are to enable individuals to trust in their connectivity experience again and do so in a way that is natural and effortless.

John, thanks for sharing!
I miss my BlackBerry and the comfort and security I felt with it. Its been one year since I switched over and the security issues with other companies is terrible. In my line of work my phone is my right hand person and keeping my clients needs secure is extremely important to me. You guys seem to know that and are always on top of that. Thank you
