Coach Michael Taylor created a motivational book "Black Men Rock!" that provided the 10 Keys to Empowering Black Men to Live Extraordinary Lives. Michael Taylor approaches the conflict of being a black man in The United States with understanding and elegance. "Black Men Rock" book makes a stand about the concept of traditional manhood in the African American community by encouraging black men to step outside of the comfort zone of society has placed them in, and allowing themselves to grow into the loving and productive people they are capable of being. Taylor dismisses the notion of limitations due to skin color and racism. The author states plainly his belief that black men are in control of their own destinies. Michael Taylor started to have a conservation about manhood in the Black community by sharing his personal story about the abuse he suffered as a child while living with his paternal grandmother. He give as the examples to the seasons in his life frequently when converse the developments he has made to become a happier and more productive adult. He also talk about his close relationship with his paternal grandfather, who helped him understand that he must "play the hand he was dealt." That included taken in the arms of the pro and the cons that comes with being a black man in America. Taylor is determined in his belief that it is not a disadvantage to be a black man. He does not picture himself as a victim. He determinate that black people have overcome a representation of obstacles and continue to live and thrive in a country that for a very long time offered them only shackles and hated.

One woman who isn't black told me, "Milton Kelly, this would have been a great article to read if you didn't put the hash tags #BlackMenRocks. I told the lady, I post what I want on my LinkedIn post and I put the hash tags #BlackMenRocks around 10 times and she was pissed. I really didn't care and I told her I will continue to be proud of my community and will promote their success. This is how I found out about this books because this Author reach out to me and personally thank me for sharing all of the great positive news about our Black Men, Black Women and Black Youth. We made it so far that we aren't going to let anyone to stop us. Not only that Black Men and Black Women Rocks but we are also Kings and Queens. We are conquerors.
