Black ink on white paper .-

How would you describe it ? As inhabitant of earth I have always wondered : How the world would be if there were no mental harms to other using their sexual orientation, their ethnicity, accent, clothing style, affiliations, ideology, vision and opinions. A labyrinth of questions that a child well raised would ask to themselves because they think their surrounding wouldn't have the answer to these questions as they are the protagonist of the picture I am trying to draw.

I came from a third world country, had a well shaped education, raised by a family of educators where I, myself had to be teaching for a few years and I am grateful for that, because growing up, Diversity was one of the focus of all the studies experiments and research I had to work on. Coming to the United States as an immigrant the transition wasn't as smooth as planned. From my 7 years of experience of working as a people operations focal point from a Translator for the Germans, then HR Administrative Assistant for one of the biggest Organization in Haiti based in LA, as a performance evaluator and Staff Development with IFRC, an HR Specialist with Fonkoze Financial (one of my biggest mistake, I'll tell about it after) I would never imagined how strong discrimination would've been at the work place for many reasons and factors that would harm the employers.

Obviously people don't like to talk about it, but observing it make you feel a bit weird seeing who is being discriminated and who is discriminating. Black people vs Black People, a Spanish born vs another Hispanic, Ecuadorians against Mexicans, Mixed race individual Vs the Black or the White against the black. For all the injustice that is happening in America I believe the concept togetherness is used mostly for political reasons at different level. One f my latest observation was the " Last to come, The first to go" where an employer had to chose to fire an employee because of another one, who didn't consider communication to solve technical issues. What happens in this case, the mistakes will back fire on someone and of course seniority will be considered by the managers to make a decision. The Worst observation was to see how certain managers lie, and not only that, making it difficult for a black person to have the opportunity to prove what they can do despite knowing their potential.

Statistics don't lie, and an old saying in my country " Smoke never comes out without a fire". The way people are being thanked ( Fired) can have multiple impacts when the bottom line reason is Racism. From mental impacts to resignations, employers need to understand that it is not right to nurture such practice, taking decisions based on people's skin colour, as we are all human aiming on big objective : THE SUCCESS OF OUR COMPANY.

Like the black ink on the white paper, all we are working for is to make the outcome look good, but if the writer doesn't know how to hold the pen to draw the fine lines an shapes of the letters composing a word... THIS will not work.

We want to make you look good, and we work hard for that, How about you stop Discriminate us ... Our colour, Our Power !
