Black Girl Magic But No Wealth?

Black Girl Magic But No Wealth?

I read the Nielsen Black Girl Magic Report with a real sense of pride because it describes what I already knew to be true.

Black women "Are the economic engine of our community."

Our educational attainment is the highest of any group in the United States.

We are starting businesses at a faster rate than any other segment.

We are trendsetters and influence art, entertainment, fashion, and politics.

However, this stat stopped me dead in my tracks.

"Sixty two percent of Black women do not currently have any household investments and Black women’s households under-index for every investment and financial service and product except student loans."

Was I surprised?

No.

After writing four books on personal finance, five national tours, a radio show, and extensive media exposure I recognized that I was providing information without application.

It became clear that the reason black women don't invest is that we have had limited exposure to the financial markets or access to financial services products that address our unique needs.

Since founding WealthyU and after coaching thousands of women in the past five years, I have learned that when we are given the right instruction and tools we excel at investing too!

The same intellect that we bring to every other area of society gives us unique insight into trends and innovation in all areas of our economy.

Black women are wired to be successful investors!

In the past five years, WealthyU programs have taught women how to build investment portfolios and achieve their first five, six and now seven-figure milestones.

We're determined to show black women how to bring that same #blackgirlmagic to wealth building and would love to hear your feedback. What is the number one obstacle preventing you from achieving financial success?

Got wealth? Join us for a special training during our weekly WealthyU Wine Down, "Black Girl Magic: How To Turn Your Ambition, Genius, and Brilliance Into Real Wealth."
