Black Earth Day Beautification Walk
Viscera Studio
As an integrated visual design studio, we work with independent businesses to build brands that emotionally resonate.
I had the pleasure of attending a fantastic event hosted by EB PREC and 7th Street Thrives at the historic Esther's Orbit Room in Oakland, CA. The day was filled with community, art, and celebration, as we gathered to honor the local community, local artists, and Black Earth Day.
The event kicked off with a morning Beautification Walk on 7th Street, led by EB PREC and community partners like BLOC LOVE Foundation, 7th West, and The City of Oakland. The walk was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors and help beautify the area.
In the evening, we partied into the night with the Immersive Arts Alliance (IAA) and the Mobile Light Art Station for a spectacular light show and dance party on 7th street. The event featured live music, local food vendors, an open bar, and plenty of opportunities to socialize and dance.
Overall, the event was a beautiful tribute to the community-controlled asset and the 7th Street cultural corridor. It was truly inspiring to see people coming together to envision a better future for our community. Thank you to all the organizers and participants for making this a day to remember!?
