CEO Thoughts
Ok, 2024 is done and dusted. At BizCubed we set our clients up for continuous data operations improvement. As a CEO, it is critical to reflect on the year-that-was to inform continuous business operations improvement. I invite you to read my reflections on:

BizCubed in the News
Zachary Zeus, Founder and Executive Director of BizCubed, was recently quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald, in an article about the potential for global carbon tariff wars.
Zach shared his insight that “under a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, individual businesses may be able to avoid tariffs by sharing verifiable information through the UN’s transparency protocol.”
His comment was made in his role as co-Founder and CEO of Pyx Global, with whom BizCubed has partnered to deliver data engineering on Trust Architecture – supporting companies to implement the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP) on their journey to immutable, verifiable credentials of claims within their supply chains.
Trends
ESG Reporting
In our December newsletter, we previewed 4 key trends we see for 2025. Here is a deeper dive on 1 of those trends: ESG reporting.

“The businesses that will outcompete will be the ones able to focus on improving the business to meet emerging market ESG demands.” – Rebecca Zeus, CEO of BizCubed
For those impacted by the first tranche of new ESG reporting requirements now in effect from 1st January, many are watching intently for how the country, our government, and the rest of the world will respond. Will there be a change at the top and a cancelling of these new reporting requirements? Will there be counter-tariffs on those who don’t invest in ESG? How should Australian businesses respond in order to be able to outcompete globally?
The news has been filled with both the above speculations as well as many companies confirming their commitment, regardless of political and regulatory outcomes, to invest in sustainability. And ultimately it comes down to this: how do ESG professionals increase your organisation’s resilience in a turbulent global environment?
Where are you on your sustainability reporting journey? Are you
Implementing ESG reporting or making it better isn’t simply about finding the right software, buying new technology, or hiring the right professional services consultant. It’s about building the right data processes into your business operations, finding and filling the data workflow gaps, and managing data properly to support accurate, repeatable outcomes.
?That’s the way you can establish an operational base from which you can easily integrate new requirements as the regulatory and compliance landscape continues to evolve.
?BizCubed can help you with an advanced data engineering services suite designed to streamline reporting compliance and enable sustainability teams to turn ESG into a strategic advantage.
?Build organisational resilience by embedding sustainability into daily business operations.
