The bizarre Jedi secret to mind control

No, this is not the Jedi mind trick where they simply wave their hand and say these are not the droids you are looking for.
This is a much more effective Jedi mind trick but it only works on yourself.
In order to understand what I am talking about, this is the quote you are looking for…
Be mindful of your thoughts Anakin. They will betray you — Obi Wan Kenobi
Well Obi Wan, this is partially correct. Your thoughts can indeed betray you. But your thoughts can also free you.
Here is the thing about your thoughts. They (like fire) can be a perfect servant but a powerful master. We live in a world that is constructed by the words that we use. A rock is a rock because we say it is a rock. Otherwise it would be something else (different languages have equivalent words).
Think of it this way
Snow has an equivalent word for snow across many languages. Snow, neige, nieve, sneatcha, etc. But there are northern tribes that have many words for snow. They use these words to describe different types of snow and ice in order to know what to use for water, what has been around for a while and what might be thin ice. It would make sense, since these people need to know how to survive in the snow for the majority of their lives that they would naturally construct a world that would make it easier for them to do that.
So here is where the Jedi mind trick that I speak of comes in. Your thoughts control what your words are. And your words (the world you construct) control your actions (how you interact with the world that you have constructed). A great book that go deep into this is The Final Fight by Shane Hunter.
(I make no money from recommending this book, I just think it is a good one when it comes to this).
Here’s the point:
There are a lot of people that can come up with plenty of excuses for why they can’t do this thing or that.
Some of them may even be valid.
But how I see this is that people have become very good at creatively self sabotaging. I know this because for a long time I was guilty of this.
The way I have been able to get around this was to come to the realization that the only person keeping me from moving forward was me. And that I needed to start being creative about solving the problems I was facing rather than being creative about why it won’t work.
Naturally, if you construct a world of abundance through your thoughts, this will follow through into your words which will show in your actions. Sort of a self fulfilling prophecy of positivity or knock on effect if you will.
The key is to be mindful of your thoughts and to not let them drag you down because they easily can lure you to the dark side of the force.
