Bitumen Penetration Grade 50/70

Bitumen 50/70 is a type of bitumen commonly used in road construction and paving. The numbers 50/70 refer to the penetration grade of the bitumen, which is a measure of its consistency and hardness.?

In this case, the number 50 indicates that the bitumen has a penetration value of 50 decimillimeters (0.5 cm) at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius after 5 seconds. The number 70 indicates that the bitumen has a penetration value of 70 decimillimeters (0.7 cm) at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius after 7 seconds.

Bitumen 50/70 is typically used in areas with moderate traffic loads and moderate climatic conditions. It is suitable for asphalt mixes and can provide good resistance to deformation and cracking.

Bitumen Penetration Grade 50/70 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties. This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Penetration Grade Bitumen supplied by RAHA GROUP is petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from fractional / vacuum distillation of crude oil. The Bitumen supplied by RAHA GROUP is produced from vacuum residue (short residue) feedstock. Penetration Grade bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The designation is by penetration range only. The penetration grade bitumens have a thermoplastic property which causes the material to soften at high temperatures and to harden at lower temperatures. This unique temperature/ viscosity relationship is important when determining the performance parameters such as the adhesion, rheology, durability and application temperatures of bitumen.

Penetration Grade Bitumen 50/70 is manufactured with selected crude oils inefficient production processes that are undertaken in accordance with quality management standards EN ISO 9001. The consistently high quality is based on the meticulous selection of raw material and careful processing. Constant quality control and additional comprehensive tests ensure the unproblematic use of Bitumen 50/70 in the asphalt mixing plant.

Penetration grade bitumen 50/70 supplied by RAHA GROUP is pure petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from vacuum bottom by passing hot air. The bitumen supplied by RAHA GROUP is produced from remain of crude oil after cracking and removing hydrocarbon. Penetration grade bitumen 50/70 has penetration between 50~70 desi-millimeter and the softening point between 46~ 54 C.The penetration grade bitumen 50/70 has a thermoplastic property which is like synthetic resin material which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. Penetration grade bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The temperature-vs-stiffness relationship of bitumen is dependent on the source of crude oil and the method of refining.Bitumen penetration grade 50/70 is hard penetration grade bitumen using as paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and repair also for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specifications.

Packing of Bitumen 50/70

Paving Bitumen 50/70 is commonly packed in new steel drums, 150, 180 & 220 Kg barrels and 1MT and 500Kg Jumbo Bags or 300kg Bitubag. Likewise, the rest of the grades are ready to load Ex-work bulk RAHA Bitumen by truck.
