Bitters Of Truth By DL
Only courageous hearts can endure the bitterness of truth.
Insecure people seek answers in all the wrong places. Envy is the desire to have what someone else has. Jealousy is the fear of losing what you have. The more insecure you are about yourself or your relationship, the more jealous you are, because you are afraid to lose your significant other to someone else. Love may be blind but jealousy has 20-20 vision. Insecurity is a powerful enemy. It forces people to use make-up, plastic surgery, collagen injections and liposuction; to nip, tuck, throw up, push up, suck in and laser. People that don't know what they are worth will always see their capture's wings, but never their tail. People's behaviors are messages, not a diagnosis because I can no longer discern the world's version of insanity. Revenge is Always Sweet, it's the Aftertaste that's Bitter. One who gossips usually carries boredom in one hand and bitterness in the other.
Don't waste your time trying to provide people with proof of deceit, in order to keep their love, win their love or salvage their respect for you. The truth is this: If they care they will go out of their way to learn the truth. If they don't then they really don't value you as a human being. The moment you have to sell people on who you are is the moment you let yourself believe that every good thing you have ever done or accomplished was invisible to the world. And, it is not. Beware of those who criticize you when you deserve some praise for an achievement, for it is they who secretly desire to be worshiped. I no longer pursue happiness, for it alludes me in every occasion. It is as if I'm trying to find something that is invisible, and sometimes I can't help to wonder if I'm the only one who it is oblivious to. A gorilla does not budge from a banana thrown at it by a monkey.
Never judge someone's character based on the words of another. Instead, study the motives behind the words of the person casting the bad judgment. An honest woman can sell tangerines all day and remain a good person until she dies, but there will always be naysayers who will try to convince you otherwise. Perhaps this woman did not give them something for free, or at a discount. Perhaps too, that she refused to stand with them when they were wrong — or just stood up for something she felt was right. And also, it could be that some bitter women are envious of her, or that she rejected the advances of some very proud men. Always trust your heart. If the Creator stood before a million men with the light of a million lamps, only a few would truly see him because truth is already alive in their hearts. Truth can only be seen by those with truth in them. He who does not have Truth in his heart, will always be blind to it. It is very normal for one ugly weed to not want to stand alone.
If you hold a candle close to you, its flame rises. And if you hold it away from you, its flame shrinks. The same way you hold a candle close to you, keep all your plans, aspirations, projects, and dreams close to you too. Do not share your plans or goals until you complete them, because as you hold your candle away from you envy, jealousy, and resentment may try to put out your flame before it grows. One of the most powerful lessons in life is to recognize that no one can give you power, and many people don’t want you to have it. You have to find the courage to seize it, own it and hold on. Bear the ills of life without being bitter. Every day, seek to find a better you not a bitter you. Even the most bitter fruit has sugar in it.
