Bitter Fruits of Extreme Liberal Policies

Raised in this free country to love liberty, I openly question the fruits of extreme liberalism. If any policies result in government dependence, broken families, high crime rates, rampant drug abuse, homelessness and other impediments to human progress, we must take a closer look. Good intentions are just not enough. Results matter.

A great example of liberal excess is San Francisco, one of many U.S. cities struggling under self-proclaimed progressive public policy. The city by the bay spends $30 million a year removing garbage, human feces and hypodermic needles off the streets. To steal an overused liberal progressive admonition, this is not who we are.
