Bitcoin's Bucket List

“I’ve got good news!” Dr. JPMorgan announces as he walks into the room, smile wide on his face. “Things were looking bad at first but following the stress test it seems you, Bitcoin, are in great health and functioning better than those even older than you are.” He dramatically pauses and then says, “You are resilient, and you are going to live a long and healthy life.”

*Bitcoin is later discharged from the hospital*

With only the refreshed enthusiasm of one who has survived what some thought they could not, Bitcoin looks back at its bucket list and starts to plan…

Top of the list is the treasure hunt for the missing $2.1bn from Wirecard’s trust account. If that can be found then plans could be put in place to head to Kenya, the most Bitcoin maximalist country on earth. This is getting exciting!

But as excitement rises so does the volume of that recognizable little voice that shouts at you to ‘Stop!’ just as you are about to leave your comfort zone. Bitcoin hears, “Be careful. Big Brother is watching!” The thoughts of whether the government is watching every move Bitcoin and those like it make, causes it to look around just to be sure no one is following it. It wasn’t long ago, just back in 2018, that Donald Trump was seemingly wanting to “go after Bitcoin” and not for anything that appears to be good.

*Bitcoin takes a deep breath*

“Good things are happening. Life is good.” Bitcoin reminds itself as it begins to focus on the positives. Many of its kind are now finding long-term homes as strong miners start to HODL and WisdomTree proposed an exchanged-traded fund (ETF) that will invest in Bitcoin!

Looking at the greater scope of things, it is not just Bitcoin’s future that is looking up but the larger cryptocurrency space as well, as Binance aims to launch a regulated crypto exchange out of the UK this summer and Tokensoft teams up with Signature Bank to launch a real-estate security token platform.
