The most widely used cryptocurrency in the world, Bitcoin, has recently become much less volatile, fluctuating around $20,000 (£17,300). Although big tech firms are experiencing wildly fluctuating valuations, this relative stability may actually be a positive, according to CNBC. According to Vijay Ayyar, head of international at cryptocurrency exchange Luno, "Bitcoin being stuck in such a range does make it boring, but this is also when retail loses interest and smart money starts to accumulate." This year, the value of cryptocurrencies has fallen by $2 trillion since the peak of the 2021 rally.
