A Bit of News...

This is the 62nd edition of the Win Big Wednesday newsletter and it marks a transition.

I've found that, while LinkedIn is an amazing platform for creators who post and comment, it's not yet focused on helping ideas conveyed in long-form writing easily spread to other readers.

That said, I have decided to branch off to a new near weekly newsletter on Substack, a platform designed for writers and building subscriber communities, where I'll be writing The Virtue Letter.

You can find it here.

To clarify, I will still be posting on LinkedIn through this newsletter, on Wednesdays, with the same content focus. However, the cadence will not be as frequent - perhaps a couple of times per month instead of weekly.

Win Big Wednesday proved a couple of things to me: First, that I could keep up a writing habit and, second, that enough people would care to sign up. Both are really hard to sustain but have drastically increased my motivation thus far.

What I also learned through this newsletter was that the pieces that did best tended to tackle deep societal topics and often leaned into my own personal experiences.

That said, here's a bit on what to expect from the The Virtue Letter:

In this newsletter, I write about personal experiences and historical lessons to keep us grounded in moral goodness. We live in a time rampant with materialism, elitism, and social media addiction. These have fueled a mental health crisis, a loneliness epidemic, and an unequal, unempathetic society.

The Virtue Letter is an intimate look into my worldview as a 28 year old trying to come to terms with that society which feels increasingly detached. I look at the first generation of young men and women as we see the effects after more than a decade in the social networking revolution. This speaks to what I see as a cultural unraveling, layered with a sense of hopefulness and pragmatism of what I see as a possible brighter future. ______________________________________________________________

Thank you for your support thus far, and I hope you'll consider subscribing to this new free newsletter on Substack here.

Until next time, have a wonderful day.
