A Bit About Me
Samantha Wall ????
Digital Marketing Strategist- MCIM / Business & Student Mentor / Social Entrepreneur
I don’t talk much about myself, so I thought I’d put a post together than explains a little more about what I do.
I have 28 years experience in Marketing/Advertising/Sales, some of my sales and marketing training has been gleamed from working at companies such as 西门子 (Network Systems - LAN/WAN), American Express and Sainsbury's Digital, Tech and Data ’s.
I’ve been a business owner and founder of 3 marketing companies (which I since sold many years ago in pursuit of other visions and experiences).
I have 16 years experience in digital marketing and SEO and have worked for global internet companies.
TEACHING DIGITAL SKILLS TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Today, I run Sam Wall Digital, I coach and teach?Marketing Students at a wide range of universities in the UK including 英国曼彻斯特大学 and The Manchester Metropolitan University (with a range of ongoing training the academic year along with live digital projects through my clients with interns).
I maximise digital marketing strategies to full effect (some of the most essential strategies I teach aren’t used in current university curriculums).
FREELANCE DIGITAL MARKETING PROJECTS
As well as this, I work with a close team of digital freelancers (since 2019), whom I’ve known for many years, we deliver holistic digital strategy for brands including; SEO, content marketing, social media strategy, writing services, website builds / strategy and more.
VOLUNTARY WORK
I also do a lot of voluntary work because it gives me a deep sense of purpose, this includes supporting a range of homeless charities, food banks and mental health support groups including; Booth Centre , Greater Together Manchester , Wood Street Mission , Mustard Tree , Barnabus Manchester , Street Support Network amongst others.
MENTORING
One of my passions is mentoring young people (school and university age) which I do a lot of it includes:
Mentoring Young People (Voluntarily) - 2017-2021 - One Million Mentors ( UpRising Leadership ) programme founded by a lady I very much admire Alveena Malik
The programme is in a range of places, U.K. wide including Manchester and East London, its simple aim is to transform our society by connecting one million young people with one million opportunities (through mentors).
I’ve now mentored for a range of students from The University of Manchester, The University of Salford , 英国中央兰开夏大学 , Levenshulme High School for Girls and Loretto College Manchester among others.
Making a positive impact to the life of another through a two way relationship of learning and growing together is a humbling experience; it’s not just their journey, in many ways, it’s your own too and one of inspiration and joy.
Over the course of time, I’ve had feedback from heads of educational establishments?such as; “You’ve been the most consistant and highly supportive student mentor for the period” and “the positivity, purpose and confidence displayed by your mentee has shone through”
I’ve enjoyed helping mentees clarify their decisions on routes to further education, work placements, awards, support networks, social action/community causes, communications and future/long term goals both professionally and personally.?
A key factor has been helping them clarify their “WHY” in life and what drives them, what they feel their personal purpose really is and what makes them feel “alive” it’s something that took me some time to conclude in my own life, if only I’d had the foresight or a mentor to help me get there!

NATIONAL MENTORING AWARDS - 2019
In 2019 I was nominated for a national mentoring award in Chelsey Baker ’s National Mentoring Day #Awards, which took place in London, an event that encourages/celebrates mentoring in all its forms.
I’m proud to say that Chelsey has become a friend of mine over time and we work together on and off on a range of things including digital strategy.
Chelsey’s “National Mentoring Day” was inaugurated in the UK House of Lords and is now a Global phenomenon attracting many thousands if not millions in celebration of the “mentor / mentee relationship”
Mentoring is a two way process; the inspiration and satisfaction that comes from it is second to none. To watch the genuine progression/personal growth of a mentee is just incredible and so rewarding.
From my own experiences, young people have a desire to be taken seriously and often need their confidence boosting, they want to confide in someone they can trust, who truly believes in them, a person who understands the core of their being as an individual, someone who can help them realise their true purpose in this world.
For , a mentor is someone who helps you see and realise the “hope” you have within yourself.?A delicate balance of helping another person truly realise who they really are, providing them with the opportunity to create themselves.

I also play active role in supporting the next generation of future talent as a mentor for this incredible community organisation, an active part of Northern Power House
GM Business Growth Hub - 3 years, Voluntary Business Mentor
I’ve mentored (and still mentor) a number of SME businesses in Greater Manchester on this government backed programme, supporting with a range of commercial advice, marketing support and corporate introductions / collaborations among other things.
Whilst some organisations I mentor are no longer officially on the programme I have still continued to support them and their businesses regardless.
Having seen during the pandemic, a vast number of startups and SMEs struggle with digital transformation I signed up to the government backed Digital Boost scheme.
I now mentor a large number of SME businesses / charitable organisations, some of which saw me organise successful and critical (for survival), crowdfunding and fundraising campaigns.?
My support and charity work over the pandemic also saw me provide voluntary help to organisations such as CodeYourFuture and Manchester Digital and Greater Manchester Combined Authority ’s?“Tech Community Taskforce” programme.
