A bit of entertainment when we can't go out and enjoy nature...
Over the years I have collected language bloopers on several well-respected news sites to illustrate to my students the importance of editing one's work. On the other hand, some of my friends are of the opinion that as long as the reader understands exactly what the writer is meaning to communicate, spelling and grammatical mistakes are inconsequential and are only for the nit-picking purists. However, nothing prevents a reader from having fun at these bloopers. Here are a few from that collection that one can read and laugh during a slow at-home work day...
