Birth of WhatsApp Alpha Course

The most difficult household responsibility for me is cleaning the bathrooms. I used to shrug off the bathroom cleaning for several days until I could not stand it myself. Now, I finally conquer the fear of bathroom cleaning and I could clean two bathrooms within one hour.

When God created the Sun, moon, stars, earth, sea, plants, animals, fishes and human being, it only took He six days. After creating man and female in his own image, He was satisfied and said “it was very good”. He finished the work he had been doing and rested on the seventh day.

Apostle Paul wrote: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

I am the business director of Grace Empowerment, a Not-for-Profit Christian Organization started in 2013 at Chelmsford, Ma, USA. We coordinate the Alpha course with Zoom conference. Yet, there are a lot of Facebook Messenger guests told our prayer teams that they could not access our Alpha course Zoom conference because they are located in Europe, Africa and India. I could not understand why. Last week, I found out the reason is that they do not have enough mobile phone data to support the Zoom conference. As a business director, it started ponding in my mind how I could resolve the issue. Grace Empowerment has no means of income. All our coworkers are volunteers, including myself. We could not afford to pay additional phone service for Whatsapp usage. We have to use Facebook and Linkedin service for marketing our Alpha course events. What could we do? I could sweep the Whatsapp service for Alpha course under the rug. After all, we have no money.

Last Friday, I woke up in the middle of night. One idea came to me for setting up the Whatsapp Alpha group:

1. Get a FREE google voice number.

2. Install WhatsApp with the google voice number in my tablet which was my 2021 birthday gift from my husband.

3. Install Whatsapp desktop at my laptop for linking to the Android tablet. This allows me to post the Alpha video link and message easily.

After waking up, I immediately tried the idea in the dream. I could not believe it and the idea works. Now, I have a 10.4 inch screen size mobile phone (tablet) for hosting two WhatsApp Alpha groups. One international Alpha group for all Facebook messenger guests and another group for church’s friends and families. I believe this idea coming from God alone.

I know my shortcoming that I am not a network system engineer. I have little knowledge in using mobile phone, WhatsApp, and Android apps. These are all new technologies for me. I just learn how to use mobile phone after my husband gave me a new mobile phone as 2020 Christmas gift.

Personally, I feel that I am the missionary hosting the Alpha group at the mission field (church, coffee shop, NY 42nd street, or prison). Therefore, please pray to God for bringing more brothers and sisters to support the Grace Empowerment Whatsapp Alpha group. May God receives all His glories. Amen.
