BIOTEC to introduce two innovations to the food packaging industry at Interpack

Biotec is thrilled to announce its participation in interpack 2023, one of the largest packaging trade fairs in the world. During the show, we will be showcasing our newest grades, named Bioplast 700 and Bioplast 800. These products would be giving new solutions for the packaging and food packaging industry.

The event, which is set to take place from May 4th to May 10th, 2023, in Düsseldorf, Germany, will bring together packaging industry leaders, innovators, and professionals from across the globe. Offering the building blocks to create products that live in the biological lifecycle, we are excited to present our brand-new solution to the industry. These new materials are a significant step forward in our efforts to create a more sustainable future.

Bioplast 700 has the ability to produce highly transparent films. Making this grade suitable for applications where clarity is important, such as food packaging. It is an ideal material for creating packaging that is both sustainable and visually appealing. Moreover, it has good shrink properties, which means that Bioplast 700 films can conform to the shape of the product they are packaging. The content is protected from external factors like moisture, dust, or other contaminants.

Bioplast 800 is meeting the market demands in thermoforming applications, like trays and cups. This new formulation has unique characteristics compared with existing products in the market, as it can provide resistance against boiling water without the necessity of using a hot mold in thermoforming. This new feature enables converters to now produce heat-stable compostable products without changing their hardware, as was the case with previously existing options.

We have built up experience with more than 1000 tons of finished products, even in challenging applications like drinking cups for coffee, plates, and trays”.
