Bio of Clarice Martins, Credit Controller

What did you want to be when you were at school?

I wanted to be a professor when I was a child, as I always enjoyed working with numbers.          

What has been your proudest achievement since joining Strategic Resources?

Since joining the company, I have put a lot of effort into improving our internal processes, and building relationships with client accounts payable departments – which has helped to speed up receipts. This has helped the company to maintain our motto of “We pay on time, every time.”

What would clients/colleagues say about you?

Very persistent!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I play badminton and go to Zumba and Pilates classes. I’m also learning Italian at the moment.

Any claim to fame?

I enjoy adventure travel. Some of the most amazing experiences were trekking in the Atlas Mountains, a camelback trail in the Sahara Desert, and experiencing life on a Chinese junk boat in Vietnam – which entailed waking up at 6am every morning to do Tai Chi on deck, followed by canoeing and rock climbing when we were docked.
