Last month, Bing introduced its new AI-powered search engine and Microsoft Edge browser, aiming to revolutionize the way we search and interact with the web. Today, they've taken it a step further by announcing Bing Image Creator, new AI-powered visual Stories, and updated Knowledge Cards.
?? Bing Image Creator: Powered by an advanced version of OpenAI's DALL?E model, Bing Image Creator allows users to generate images from text descriptions. With over 100 million chats to date, this feature enhances the search experience, offering a more visual and creative platform for users to explore.
?? Visual Tools: Research suggests that our brains process visual information 60,000 times faster than text. With images being one of the most searched categories on Bing, the introduction of Bing Image Creator has the potential to significantly impact how we search, create, and learn.
?? Microsoft Edge Integration: Bing Image Creator will also be available in Microsoft Edge, making it the first browser with an integrated AI-powered image generator. Users can access the feature through the Bing Image Creator icon in the sidebar or via Bing chat in Edge.
??? Responsible AI: Microsoft is working with OpenAI to ensure the responsible use of the Image Creator. Safeguards and controls are in place to limit the generation of harmful or unsafe images. A modified Bing icon will also be included on each image to indicate its AI-generated nature.

??? Visual Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0: Alongside the Image Creator, Bing is also rolling out visual Stories and updated Knowledge Cards to enhance the search experience, making it more engaging and informative.
?? Availability: Bing Image Creator will roll out to Bing preview users on both desktop and mobile, starting today. A preview version is also available at bing.com/create. Bing Image Creator will be accessible in Microsoft Edge for desktop and mobile users in English, with more language support planned.
It's exciting to see the potential of AI-powered tools like Bing Image Creator, which can foster creativity, enhance our search experience, and provide more immersive and engaging content. However, it's crucial to ensure the responsible use of AI and to continue refining these tools based on user feedback. As Bing Image Creator rolls out, it will be interesting to monitor its adoption, impact, and the lessons learned throughout the implementation process. #BingImageCreator #AI #MicrosoftEdge #ResponsibleAI #VisualSearch
