In part two of the BIM perspective series, we talk about ways to build trust around the model by defining upfront, who needs what information and in what level of detail. The key it seems is to treat that definition process as an ongoing discussion rather than take a "set it and forget it" approach. The US has the AIA and AGC BIMForum LOD or Level of Development specifications and the UK has the EIR or Employer Information requirements to drive the conversation so teams can determine what information exchanges need to occur and when. The concept of delivering the "data you need, when you need it" or as Brok Howard refers to it. "#DYNWYNI" is something we explore in this next installment.
