CEILING PATTERN

Andrew Milburn shares an intriguing update on his ceiling pattern design with a parametric version, allowing users to modify the module and circle radius. Although the "expected" radius is a one-quarter module, he presents variations with slightly larger and smaller sizes in two different module options. The design is achieved in Revit using model lines and the "secret sauce" of a spline curve for the S-shaped link, which ensures a consistent shape when stretched. This captivating development credits Philip Gaches for the original design, Dmitriy Karpovich for inspiring the parametric experiment, and David Wood for clarifying the "expected case." Discover how this complex-looking design is more straightforward than it appears in the Family Editor. Read more
