Fusion Data API now in beta release!
Fusion Data is the first full data model coming into the Forge data platform. You’ve heard us talking about the Forge data idea for the past few months and now it is a reality. Fusion Data API currently models data from Fusion 360, and includes the model assembly structure, thumbnail for each component, and the ability to subscribe to the Fusion 360 Milestone events. The term “Fusion” is referring to manufacturing data and will be extended to other technologies in the future. The idea of this data model is to be “the-source-of-truth” for the data. Any tools that author and write the data need to do so directly to the data model, and this makes it a central data repository.

Converting a Dynamo Player Graph to Work with Generative Design
??In a previous post, we discussed how to Convert an Existing Dynamo Graph to Work With Dynamo Player. This involved modifying nodes to be used as inputs and creating output (results), for user feedback. In this post, we will expand on this workflow further, by converting that same Dynamo graph to work with Generative Design. With Revit 2023’s new Dynamo Player enhancements, we have seen Dynamo player take on a Generative Design look and feel. This is awesome because the UX is very similar and modifying a Dynamo Player graph to work with Generative Design is relatively simple.
The Autodesk Tandem API is now in Beta
??If you’ve visited the Tandem website, this week, you may have seen a little footer saying: “Unleash the power of digital twins with Tandem APIs | Now in Beta”
This is interesting news for the many (100+, at the last count) developers using Forge to build digital twins. Those using Revit or IFC as a data-source will most probably find the possibility of building on Tandem to be of significant interest.
