BIM - don't plan late, Plannerly! [The Meaning Behind Our Name]

A few months ago we changed our company name.

Renaming your company can be a little scary.

I promised to write about the hidden meaning behind "Plannerly" - but maybe you guessed it already? ??

It's probably true that planning a BIM is not as much fun as spinning a BIM (especially in VR)!

So we (humans) tend to avoid the boring (but essential) BIM planning steps.

...but we nearly always end up dealing with the consequences ;)

A goal (at Plannerly) has been to make planning so simple that it is no longer a burden.

This broad mission made it difficult to capture a new name in one word - so we just invented a new one ??

When we announced our updated name+branding we saw some great posts on social media:

It should be a new English word, as in, "We did it in a plannerly manner." Definition: "correct and wisely."

From Chris Everist:

Plannerly "helps me do BIM quickly and elegantly."

From Teresa Martin:

Yes, that's it - the intent behind the new name is keeping it simple and fun to plan EARLY...

...and wisely and elegantly and quickly and carefully and timely and promptly and sensibly and thoroughly and deliberately and thoughtfully and meticulously and precisely and exactly and accurately and reliably and trustily and intelligently... *gasp*

Don't plan late, Plannerly!

Shouldn't we all work in a Plannerly manner? ??
