A big gap that lies in AEC Industry as I see it lies between the design and the information that a Revit model brings us-a problem that exists because the professionals don't know how to extract data and actually read it to draw conclusions. Knowing how to extract and visualize, professionals will be able to include this way of working into their projects in the design and planning phases.
The possibility of customizing the Check on the models allows considerable flexibility to the instrument, and therefore the adaptability to different project needs.
What:
Easily extract BIM data from a Revit model, crosslink the properties from the model objects, and export the results to an Excel spreadsheet. You can achieve these results by using Dynamo as a computational design tool.
Who:
Any building professional who wants to process BIM model metrics and data.
How:
An invisible database underlies every Revit model. You can access this data through schedules within Revit. Learn how to customize the extraction and visualization of the data from your Revit model. You can define relationships between objects through a Dynamo graph. Then, you can extract the data and the data relationships and write them to an Excel spreadsheet.
