Brought to you by CSIC and Digital Guerrilla, this five-part series of breakfast briefings contains all you need to know regarding how to plan for and implement BIM in your construction-related business.
Delivered in bite-sized chunks, you can book the entire series or individual sessions.
BIM 101: Where do I start? (Wed 7 June)
BIM 102: What Software/Technology do I use? (Wed 19 July)
BIM 103a: What standards do I need to know about? (Wed 30 August)
BIM 103b: What is PAS1192-2 anyway? (Wed 4 October)
BIM 104 - How do I know my deliverables are good enough? (Wed 1 November)
Introduction:
From the 6th April 2017, BIM was introduced into Scottish central government (Review of Scottish Public Sector Procurement in Construction, 22 October 2013) with a view to encouraging adoption across the public sector. The objective is that where appropriate (Scottish Procurement Policy Note SPPN 01/2017, 8 March 2017), projects across the Scottish public sector adopt BIM level 2. As well as the Scottish central government requiring BIM, most private clients are also now demanding BIM.
So, what is BIM? What is BIM Level 2? Will this change the way we work? This breakfast briefing series will help to answer these questions for you.
The Aim:
Each presentation will outline the topic at hand and deliver a detailed step-by-step plan for you to take away and implement at your business. The topics are designed to as standalone chunks, allowing you to register only for the information which interests you. Each session will end with a 15 minute Q&A, with plenty of time for breakfast and networking scheduled in during the morning.
