BIM 360_New Project Creation
BIM 360 helps team to track model issues with our Revit files with project teams working remotely. I love the Issues functionality, which allows us to track the status of any changes and communicate directly within the model. The product also allows users who don't know specialty software like CAD or Revit to easily access drawings to view designs in 3D. Field personnel can review sheets or 3D models to fully understand the designs and also the changes in the designs.
Following is the process of BIM 360 to start the project.
Creating the Project
There are two administrative modules in the project. Project admin allows you to manage the properties and settings of the current project. Account admin allows you to manage the properties and settings of the overall account. New projects are created at the account level.
Adding Project Services
You have to select services (like document management, collaboration) at the time of project creation or you can also do it later.
Adding Members
?At the time of creating the project, the Account admin adds the project admin on that project, then later on project admin can also add other members to that project.
Collaborating file
After creating the Revit file, we have to save it. And simply click on collaborate option in the Collaborate tab.
after collaborating file, you will see the synchronize with central option is on. and now you can collaborate as you do normal collaboration within your network.
Adding Subfolders & Assigning folder permissions
Here we can add subfolders to the existing folders. and also we can assign the permissions to the members. Project admin can decide the permission level of the folder. Permission levels are like view, download, upload, or full folder control.
Creating the Issues & Creating Markups
Team members can raise issues in a model, and also can create markups, when model work is in progress or complete.
I am not an expert in BIM 360 But just tried to share my work experience on it. Your comments or messages will be always welcome...??
