Billy B x Gallany launch new line of cosmetics

The moment I walked through the doors, RuPaul was walking out! I was able to grab a picture with her, so my night was off to a great start! A lot of Instagram beauty bloggers were in attendance such as @roseandben, @jcmakeupmaster, @arikasato, @greciiimua, and @vjosamua, models such as @nathalieparis, and of course icons such as the one and only @rupauloffical! There was an abundance of pink ombre colored cocktails, champagne shaved ice topped with sparkles, and cotton candy topped with pop rocks, my fave!  Did I mentioned the cotton candy wall? I made my way upstairs to the rooftop patio and beheld the glamorous vanity mirror and tested out the following products:

• The Essential Palette: Love, Love, Love. This eye shadow palette is highly-pigmented. Just with one dab of the finger, a single sweep of the brush, I was able to make my eyes stand out. It’s easily blendable, allowing me to play around with different shades. My only complaint is that I wish there could have been more daring colors, a nice pop of color for those special occasions or those days I’m feeling a little risque. It’s a very safe color palette, ideal for shading, highlighting, and defining the eyes. My favorite colors were LBD, Iris, and Valentina.

• Creme Satin Lipstick: This was not a personal favorite, but only because I prefer my lipstick to either be matte or glossy, nothing in between. But it definitely does what it says. This cream satin formula keeps your lips nice and moist, and has a semi suede like finish. For those who don’t like their lipstick too matte or too glossy, this ones for you.

• Lucite Lips LipGloss: YUMMY! That’s the first word that came to mind when I tried this lipgloss on. It tastes so good! I wanted to keep on re-applying just so that I could taste it again and again. Cause lets be honest here, what girl has never had that cringeworthy moment when they licked their lips and tasted all those horrendous chemicals? But to my pleasant surprise, my tastebuds were having their own party. The texture overall on my lips was okay, nothing spectacular, but the vanilla mint infused flavor totally made up for it! And did I mention the price? $18 is not bad at all. 

• Brushes: I tried majority of the brushes and the bristles were very soft and applied eye shadows wonderfully, but I would not pay $250 for the set. You can get a great selection at Sephora for a fraction of the cost.

Overview: All in all, I think the product is great. The superstar of the night was the Essential Palette. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. You get high quality product at a very reasonable price. Gallany’s workmanship and all those years spent in the lab definitely showed in her product.
