There’s no denying the popularity of South Florida as one of the world’s premier destinations. When you combine world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment with white sandy beaches, easy access to the ocean and fantastic weather, it’s easy to see why investors from around the globe are flocking to the area for their piece of paradise. But with demand of coastal property at an all time high and a dwindling supply, prices have skyrocketed and many buyers are being shut out. But don’t fret. Real estate developers are answering the call with additional luxury communities, right up the road.
More and more people have been drawn to the concept of living, working and playing in their communities, feeding the mixed-use real estate trend in South Florida. In an effort to provide the coastal urbanization feel in slightly inland suburban locations, massive mega-developments are in the works. Take Metropica, the project slated for Sunrise in Broward County, for example. With potential to become the “epicenter of South Florida,” the new town center promises to expand the boundaries of where people want to live.
