Bill Gates’ One Simple Rule to Success

Bill Gates’ One Simple Rule to Success

Maybe you’re thinking: Who has the time to sit down and read? You may find it impossible to find time to read. Bill Gates is able to gobble up 50 books a year. That’s impressive!

Bill Gates is one of the most successful people in the world. He has stated that reading is his “favorite way of learning new things”. This method of learning greatly motivates him.

He has a net worth of over $92 Billion.

He is the father of 3 children…

He is an investor…

He is a philanthropist…

He is a humanitarian…

And he is the principal founder of Microscoft.com…

Bill Gates is a success.

I am also an enthusiastic reader. I am able to take some time for reading every day. My list includes science fiction, Mystery, business adventures, and sometimes memoir. This is possible only when I manage my schedule over ProofHub. Using ProofHub, I am able to plan and schedule my to-do, where I can also track the progress and track time of what I am doing and where I am spending my time.

Bill Gates is well known for voracious reading. It’s not just about reading but getting the most value from what you are reading. Bill Gates has four reading rules :

  1. When you are reading, you have to be careful that you are concentrating. He makes notes in the margins that help him to understand the perspective of the author. This also makes him more critical about the topic.
  2. Whatever he starts, he makes sure he finishes it. He doesn’t pick those books that he doesn’t intend to finish. Not completing a book, keeps the risk of missing key points about the topic.
  3. He prefers print, the old-fashioned way over digital reading. Rather, you can choose what works for you.
  4. He prefers to set aside at least an hour a day for serious reading because it takes at least an hour to know about what you are reading instead of simply wasting words.

Reading is not just a way to sit down and relax. There is a lot you can learn. It is a part of your learning journey. By investing in reading, you can ensure that you are growing yourself every day. You are likely to be productive across different areas of life.

Behind every success story is a motivational force that drives an individual to achieve a pinnacle of glory. In this case, it is the good old fashioned reading interest that has sustained his learning values in life. It is a true fact that reading paves the way for progressive thought and sharpens the senses. As an author, couldn't agree more!

Yesterday I read at a book store “dinosaurs didn’t read and got extinct”. Loved it.

Reading is very important it teaches us what is the best way to attack the problem.

Same Bill- but how to I choose one book. That’s the real struggle.
