Bill Capen is Running for SMTA President

For those that don't know me my name is Bill Capen. I am pleased to announce that I have decided to run for SMTA President. The reason I decided to run for SMTA President is because of you the electronic manufacturing world. The electronic manufacturing world is a high technology driven world with some of the smartest, nicest people on the plant. I have been in the industry over 36 years and have learned something from every single person I have met.

I have learned how to problem solve, how to work with teams of amazing people and I have learned how to be the best human possible thanks to really compassionate soulful humans. I ask that once the polls open you think about casting your vote for me.

I know asking for your vote is a large request and here are the reasons I am asking for your vote. I have worked on the SMTA chapter level in numerous roles including Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and President. I have also had the privilege of being elected to the SMTA board of Directors 2017 - 2023. In all of these positions I learned that being elected comes with amazing responsibility. When elected you are a liaison for your members, and they trust that you will do right by the chapter and the members.

Growing into that liaison roll I realized how amazing it is to give back to those that trust in you and trust in your hopes and dreams of the organization. I promise if you elect me to the position of SMTA President that I will always remember that I am working for every single member, every single chapter, and every single person who thinks outside the box and wants this industry to grow and develop. Without you our members SMTA would not be successful so please when voting opens please vote for the board of directors and the president position.
