Is this the Biggest Social Media Giveaway Ever?
The Campaign
Last week we proudly launched what is arguably the BIGGEST giveaway in Social Media history. With a 120K Gold Lamborghini Huracan up for grabs for one of our lucky followers, the post has and rightly so, caused a stir both with our online and off-line audience.
Here's the rundown on how we successfully arranged the giveaway of all giveaways...
The Launch
Going live on the 9th of March the team gathered together at AU HQ to celebrate the launch of this one-of-a-kind giveaway. Team members enjoyed Lamborghini decorated cupcakes, provided by Get Caked Bakehouse of Swansea whilst the anticipation and excitement began to increase.
Our Marketing and E-commerce teams we're working right up until the post went live to ensure all last-minute tasks we're completed in time for the looming deadline. When 6PM hit it was launch time and the posts went live across our social media platforms', instantly the comment entries began to come in rapidly.
The Stats
Within 6 days of the launch, the post has generated huge traction, pushing our socials and the Au brand on to everyone's screens, effectively seeing brand awareness skyrocket.
Instagram has generated a staggering 50.8K in likes with comment entries surpassing 50,000. Our Facebook post has simultaneously gained a great response with over 8K likes and 11,000 entries, both with a combined reach of over 500,000 in a matter of days.

The Press
Generating a stream of stories from notable publications such as national newspaper the Daily Star, WalesOnline, SwanseaOnline and the Evening Post all of whom picked up on this big story, catapulting it in front of a collective average readership of over 38.6 million per month.
The Reason
So, how can we, Au Vodka, afford to giveaway a 120K Lamborghini?
Essentially, the potential return on Investment is so great that with every follower gained we estimate to an average return of £2. Additionally, the brand awareness the giveaway poses will expose us to a fresh new audience and increase the potential for new members to join our loyal fanbase of consumers.
Behind-the-Scenes
Getting to the point of launching this giveaway was a colossal team effort with planning beginning last year to create a marketing campaign that centred around the Gold Au Vodka Lamborghini. Seen travelling around the UK whilst accompanying our marketing team on photoshoots, events and trade-shows, the Lamborghini had already created a name for itself and was well know by followers of the brand.
