This is the biggest mistake jobseekers make
If you want to get a job in Dubai you're going to have to move outside of LinkedIn Easy Apply - here's what you should be doing instead.
It's hard to get a job in Dubai because it's a market where supply (candidates looking for work) massively (MASSIVELY) outweighs the demand (jobs available).
Applying to fifty jobs at the click of a button and hoping to hear back just puts you in the same bucket as the thousand other people that have done the exact same thing.?
The hard truth is, if you're not doing everything to stand out at the moment, then you're invisible.
This might come across tough love but it's true and I wish more people would say it instead of playing to the image of Dubai as the tax-free, always sunny paradise.
Yes, it's a great place to live but how useful is that information to a jobseeker?
There's no shortcut to success here. Most people do not get their jobs through Recruiters - ask around. They get it through putting the work in.
It's hard, it takes time and it can be incredibly frustrating. The end result is usually worth it.
If you're not doing the following as the bare minimum, then you're going to be beaten by people that are.

9 个月This is indeed an insightful read. However, sometimes, even after applying through Easy Apply and reaching out to recruiters through connection or email, there is no response, making the effort fruitless. I believe that communication should be a two-way street, and if recruiters are genuinely seeking applicants, they should be open to connecting and providing feedback, even if it's not what the applicant wants to hear. This kind of feedback is invaluable for applicants to understand where they stand and how to improve their candidacy. Also, it's a professional and respectful way to end the application process, having closure rather than keeping it open-ended for the applicant.

9 个月LinkedIn Easy Apply—this is ineffective. Similar to purchasing a lottery ticket, your chances are not impossible but improbable. Time and hope wasted—you only increase the applicants' sense of helplessness and self-doubt. Imagine one open position with thousands of applicants??? It's similar to fishing in the ocean. I hope LinkedIn would improve, remove this option, or impose recruiters to provide their contact information to qualified candidates. And this platform or ads will include more "filters" to ensure that only applications that meet the necessary requirements for skills and qualifications are submitted. FOR RECRUITERS, it's important to consider how candidates feel about climbing a mountain in the hopes of getting hired. Don't view your work as merely meeting your needs. You must STOP running your ads after the position is filled. Add more filters to your ads to ensure that only qualified candidates send in their resumes; don't accept any resumes at random.

9 个月Surely this is a two-way deal though. If employers don't want 1000 applicants and only want those who are willing to put in that extra yard, then they should put in the time and effort to ha e an application process which doesn't involve the "easy apply" option. This is laziness on the part of the employer as well as the applicant. In fact, one may go further and say the onus is on the employer, who may have only 1 role to highlight, whereas the applicant may be applying for double figure roles per day.
