The Biggest Mistake in Change & Transformation

In our professional lives, we've all experienced change and transformation.
But how does it feel when you're not in the lead and have to endure the changes imposed on you? Most of us will answer stressful and uncomfortable, right?
?We know about the change curve—it takes time to get through a change, and we have different phases. Companies and Transformation leaders take a lot of time and resources to explain what will change, why we change, the to-be model, and the gaps. Most of the efforts go into this, but still, changes fail or face a lot of resistance. Maybe because we also want to get back to what we know.
So, wouldn't it be good to focus also on what will not change? What will remain the same? The colleagues, tools, and processes you're using and will still use after the transformation. This might bring reassurance and a form of trust. We, as humans, are not so good at changes and like habits.
?As everyone, even if I feel experienced in what I'm doing, we make mistakes and could improve. We all build experiences, and this is one of my reflections and impressions from the last few years, having been under a few changes that I wanted to share.
Next time you're in a transformation as a lead, take the time to explain Why and what will change but take as much time to explain what will NOT change.
