The Biggest Migration in 30Days!

As China released further policies on COVID control, travelling back to hometown for New Year holiday is possible now without quarantines. The biggest domestic migration will start in approx. 30 days!

On Dec. 7th 2022, the "New 10 Regulations" released by Beijing, briefs as below:

• In case of COVID testing positive, administration may only lock one family or one building, but never a compound, a community or a town.
• COVID cases with no symptom or light symptom shall prefer "home-isolation" over centralized quarantine. The isolation shall be cancelled after 2 times PCR tests value ≥35
• Any types of blocking compound entrance gate, fire engine access is not allowed.
• Daily PCR test for everybody is not necessary any more. Entering public transportation does not require PCR 24/48hours negative result or Green QR Code.
• Non-high-risk-area shall never be asked to stop daily production, business, and transportations.
• There are some more, such as, improve vaccinating rate for senior people, document heavy disease patients in community in case of emergencies, etc.

Right after the online conference in Beijing, the most developed cities and provinces followed the pace in a blink, such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Ningbo, and so on. Taking "the new 10 regulations" as a guideline, local provincial governments have great autonomy to extend, explain and perform accordingly, so local operations/controls will not be all the same. News today from Customs raised my attention that containers export to US dropped 21% from Aug. to Nov. , business under COVID control are badly hurt for sure. Many factories will shut down earlier this year, estimated15-20days before CNY (Jan 20, 2023).

So please be prepared for your warehouse stock, earlier orders placed will have better guarantee of delivery before the holiday.

It is believed that "Entering China Policies" will be released soon in late December or January 2023. It is not confirmed source, but my guess, say 3 days quarantine to start, and step by step till full open in 3-6 months.
